My name is Andy
Graphic designer, sneakerhead, husband and dad.
I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Illustration with Animation from Manchester Metropolitan University whist working as a visual merchandiser. I worked as a designer, marketing and brand manager for a group of bars and restaurants in Cambridge until I started Syllable Design Co in 2011.
In the past 10 years I have worked on projects for many clients including some global companies as well as local and startup businesses in the UK.

VISUAL MERCHANDISING
I have a background in Visual Merchandising for GAP in the late nineties while I studied design in Cambridge and Manchester. Briefs were issued to every store on a Monday morning and all windows displays, signage and campaigns would change globally from store opening. Consequently I have been applying and removing vinyl window graphics for many years.
PRINT DESIGN & BRAND IDENTITY
Print design and advertising is something which I have worked on daily for over 20 years. It can be magazine adverts. posters and flyers and more recently it tends to be corporate brochures, presentations and signage. I have been very lucky to work with a huge amount of clients in a wide range of industries. I have produced logos and brand identities for everything from sandwich shops to Law firms.
WEBSITES
As you might expect websites are something which I spend a lot of time working on. New projects for start ups as well as maintaining some larger sites keeps me busy. I can normally produce a website in a couple of weeks and work in Wordpress, WiX and Shopify. Being a designer primarily, that goes hand in hand with a sharp looking site.
CLIENTS
I have an extensive client list with many regulars. I have been lucky enough to work for some global brands such as The Cambridge Distillery and Specialized Bicycles. I have seen my work in many global publications and websites over the years.
